For all in Indirapuram, especially people who have moved from Delhi and other neighboring cities, we do find the nightlife and drinking scene a bit overpriced with no actual gratification with the ambiance, food, or the events. It’s a no-crowd puller, I must say.
I am a Delhi girl with an appetite for parties, and since I moved here I couldn’t really find a place that could be my daily hangout or even a weekend special place without burning a hole or even getting the engines warmed up.
So it’s a usual day where I step out and look for a cozy place to read/ write and have a cup of coffee (a beer would be better, no doubt) I chance upon another BYOB in Indirapuram.
This is no usual BYOB, like the ones you see in Delhi and Noida (those are actually ahaatas that are unhygienic, sleazy, and dreadful.). I mean one gets a hangover at the sight of these places. These cool dudes are fancy places striving to be at par with the Ahatas/BYOB in Gurgaon.
Yes, BYOB is in. They are fancy, comfortable, open-aired, gender-friendly with a decent menu. Food is generally priced higher between the range of 300-500 per dish but the same can be the case at any restro bar. Music is also palpable, especially at Gurgaon BYOBs.
The two new BYOBs in Indirapuram are in Niti Khand and Gyan Khand. BYOB in Niti Khand is mondaine and quirkier, and his stepbrother doesn’t scream too much attention as of yet, where I am sitting at present. Why am I at the stepbrothers? You will know as you read on.
Both BYOBs are trying to change the ahata game in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, and are also trying be gender-inclusive. The only drawback is the cover charge in one of these places and the overpriced dishes on the menu. One ends up paying more on top of the cover charge. For a couple, drinks and food would cost you anywhere between 1200-1500 at Niti Khand.
The BYOB concept is great and I am a personal fan as long as it is safe and a delightful experience, though expectations should be managed.
